About Us After 27 years in the business, Pat Shaw and Keith Shaw Jr. decided to sell their business in 2006. Fortunately, they were able to find buyers who were from Monson and were dedicated to keeping Shaw's Lodging the same welcoming, friendly, comfortable hostel that it has always been for hikers.
Dawn MacPherson-Allen grew up and still lives two houses up Pleasant Street from Shaw's and has watched the business grow from its creation in 1977 to what it is today. A schoolteacher by trade, she was excited to begin hosting hikers in May and to learn the business from the ground up.
